When I was a child one of my favorite cartoons was “The Jetsons.” I would watch it and just imagine how cool it would be to have all the conveniences that the Jetsons had in their everyday life. I kind of imagined myself living with the Jetsons. But I didn’t like that there was not really an outdoors. I actually just found out that the earth still existed, it was below the Jetson’s space world.
The Jetsons first aired in 1962. I was 8 years old and couldn’t wait to watch it and see all of the crazy things that they used in their home, at the office, and traveling around their neighborhood.
It just mind boggles me now to think that everything we have now, like a flat screen TV, and video chat, etc. was predicted in a cartoon from 1962! My question is What did some people back then know that we didn’t know? Did these things exist but we weren’t being made aware of them. I mean, really, the Jetsons were spot-on!!! They had phone watches like Dick Tracy!!!! Don”t you think it’s a little strange that all of this technology kind of existed but wasn’t presented to us till recently? Maybe I’m just looking too into it?

What a delightful show to grow up with!
The Jetsons were spot on for most of our technology! Their space flying vehicles are a bit different, however, one never knows……
Hi Maxine! The Jetsons were spot on! And we probably will have flying cars one day soon!
Thanks for reading my post! xo
Robots. Flying cars. Telephone watches. Unreal. Great times during that era. Family shows. No violence.
