Years ago when I would watch “Bewitched” I always imagined what it would be like to live next door to Samantha and her family. I would have loved it! Remember the neighbor, Gladys Kravitz? She was always looking out of her window to try to figure out what was going on at the Stephens’ house. Gladys just was besides herself when she saw what she thought she saw. Would you want to live next door to Darrin and Samantha and Tabitha?
(I tried to wiggle my nose when I was younger. I wanted to have powers like Samantha and Tabitha)
Another place I would have loved to live in TV Land is Mayberry. I just loved that sweet town. It seemed so laid back and simple. I would love to live next door to Sheriff Taylor, Opie, and Aunt Bea.
I always loved “Dennis the Menace.” The neighborhood was so new. What I mean by that is that the trees were not grown yet and the houses were probably recently built. It was like where I lived, as a child, in Mill Basin in Brooklyn. A simpler time.
What town would you like to live in or what neighbors would you like to live near in TV Land?
P.S. That is Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker) on Dennis The Menace! What a great actress! She doesn’t sound anything like Edith!

I would like to live in Mayberry in a much simpler time! I have visited Andy Griffith’s home town in Mt. Airy, NC. The town is sweet and innocent. You can see the Sheriff’s office and jail and have lunch in the soda shop. I want to go back to life with Opie and Aunt Bea!
